Jason Butler's Recipes
This is an experiment right now. I expect this to keep improving over the next few weeks.
Recipes
Biscuits
It actually a lot easier to make your own biscuits than you think. And, they taste better than the ones coming out of the can. We have these every other Sunday as part of the special breakfast.
Bread
This is a simple dutch oven recipe for bread. It's ridiculously simpler than you think it will be.
Brownies
This is our all-time favorite dessert recipe. It never fails to impress folks. The frosting layer is the big differentiator.
Chicken Stir Fry
This is your basic quick Asian Chicken stir fry.
Granola
We've evolved this granola recipe over several iterations. I hope you like it!
Jason's World Famous Jambalaya
This is my world-famous Super Bowl Jambalaya. Always the highlight of the day (except on days when the Patriots win the Super Bowl. Then that's the highlight.)
Macaroni and Cheese
We finally have a baked, homemade macaroni and cheese recipe that we like.
Meatloaf
After 20 years of experimenting, I think I've finally nailed meatloaf. The keys are to make it really thin on an cookie sheet and layer the bacon on top.
Oatmeal Cupcakes
12 Yummy oatmeal cupcakes. The children love these.
Steamed Rice
Pretty straightforward recipe for making rice.
Roast Chicken
Simple roast whole chicken recipe.
Scrambled Eggs
Basic scrambled eggs, getting you up and running in five minutes or so.
Steamed Asparagus
Our go to vegetable. We have this pretty much every weekend.
Steamed Broccoli
Another goto vegetable. We have this pretty much every weekend.
Grandma Johnson's Swedish Pancakes
Our traditional holiday treat. Yummy, especially when covered in lingonberry butter and powdered sugar.
Tuna Casserole
This tuna casserole is a reliable winner for the girls, warm and filling. This makes enough for four grownups or so. We serve it poured over a scoop of rice on the plate.
