The First Time I Ever Saw A California Redwood Was In New Zealand
New Zealand imported a ton of California Redwoods at the turn of the last century. The Rotorua area is the only place that they really took hold. We walked through a forest and I was thinking "These are really tall, and they are only 100 years old. I can only imagine what the 500 year old trees might look like." As you can tell, unemployment has sharpened my analysis skills.
Here are Mike L., Eric, Jim R. and me in front of one of the great trees. We were the proud residents of room 12 at the Havana Motor Lodge.
